episode 2
Inspired by the painterly world of early mid-century painter Edward Hopper. Capturing desolate cityscapes and solitary figures Hopper captures the nuanced interactions between human beings and their environments. Despite this expression of emptiness and solitude, we recognise ourselves and feel at home in this world. Episode 2 is defined by this duality of feeling between loneliness and belonging.
The low-key, cool colour palette of Episode 2 communicates this sense of solitude, whilst the collision of silhouettes reminds us of the beauty that is found in disharmony.
